Privacy

Written to be read, not to be defensible. If something here is vague, it is a mistake and worth telling us about.

The app

The Insanity Wolf app collects nothing. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no accounts, and no networking code of any kind. It has never sent a request to a server, ours or anyone else's.

Everything the app knows stays on your phone:

Workout historyStored on device and, if you have iCloud on, in your own iCloud key-value store. It syncs between your devices through Apple. We cannot see it and we have no server that could receive it.
Routine settingsOn device.
RemindersScheduled locally by iOS. No push server is involved, so we never learn whether you trained.
Health dataNone. The app does not request HealthKit access and does not read or write to Health.

Deleting the app removes the on-device copy. To remove the iCloud copy, turn off iCloud for Insanity Wolf in iOS Settings, or delete the app while signed in to the iCloud account holding it.

The website

The website is a different matter and it would be dishonest to fold it into the sentence above. It collects the following, and nothing else.

Visit records

Every page view sends one record to us: the page, your approximate location from your IP address, the referring page, the time, your IP address and your browser type. It is used to see whether anything we publish is being read. There is no advertising network, no third-party analytics script, no cross-site tracking and no cookie set for this.

If you give us your email

The Registry watch form and any newsletter signup store your email address and, where you signed up from a model page, which model you asked to be told about. That is the entire record. Every message carries an unsubscribe link and unsubscribing deletes the address.

If you buy something

Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's systems and never reach ours. We receive the order, your name, your email and your shipping address so we can send you the thing you bought, and we keep that record because tax law requires it.

If you sign in

Accounts use an emailed sign-in link. We store your email address and your orders. There is no password to lose.

Who else touches it

AppleiCloud sync of your workout history, and App Store distribution. Governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
VercelHosts the website and therefore processes requests to it.
ResendDelivers our email and holds the subscriber list.
StripeProcesses payments. Card data lives with them.

We do not sell personal information, share it for advertising, or hand it to data brokers. There is no advertising business here to feed.

Your say

Write to donny@makebttr.com and we will tell you what we hold on you, correct it, or delete it. No form, no account required, no verification theatre beyond confirming you control the address in question. If you are in a place with statutory rights over your data, this is how you exercise them.

Children

Nothing here is directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If this changes materially, the date below changes and anyone on the email list hears about it.
